We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our clients team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in plumbing task, ensuring the installation, maintenance, and repair of various plumbing systems.
This role requires a hands-on approach, utilizing both hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
The plumber will work in a secure institution and will therefore need to clear security checks before starting work.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 1 in 4 weekends, 39 hours per week Responsibilities install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or areas for improvement.
Perform welding tasks as necessary for pipe repairs or installations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to ensure seamless project completion.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Adhere to safety regulations and building codes throughout all tasks.
Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls as required.
Requirements Proven experience as a plumber or in a similar role Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Basic math's skills for measuring and calculating material requirements.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
