Senior Assembly Technician

SPX Enterprise Control Systems (ECS) is a leader in designing and producing advanced programmable jammers (RF Inhibitors) and specialised equipment for high-level military and internal security applications.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Assembly Technician to join our team on a permanent basis.
As a Senior Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in assembling ECS products, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards and adhere to the production process.
You will be instrumental in transforming innovative designs into fully functional products, working closely with various departments to achieve seamless transitions from prototype to production.
Key Responsibilities: - Assemble ECS products and cable assemblies following detailed Assembly Instructions (AI's), sketches, or verbal guidance.
- Perform precise PCB assembly by hand, using soldering irons and SMT components.
- Adhere strictly to the production process, ensuring all units meet the standards set by QA inspectors.
- Conduct assembly operations using a microscope or other magnifying devices when required.
- Take full responsibility for the assembly and inspection of products up to the test stage of manufacture.
- Consistently follow the company's ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
- Work to IPC-A-610 & IPC-WHMA-A-620 standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth transitions from product prototype to testing.
