About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant at Danecourt, you'll work closely with our teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for primary-aged children with complex needs, including autism and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
You'll help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally through: Tailored support for individual or small groups of students.
Providing personal care as needed to ensure students' well-being.
Collaborating with our teaching staff to implement creative and effective learning strategies.
Encouraging independence and fostering a love of learning in each student.
What We're Looking For: We are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who are: Ideally qualified with an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Childcare or SEND practice.
Experienced in working with pupils with special educational needs, particularly autism (ASD).
Proficient in numeracy and literacy skills , with qualifications equivalent to GCSE Grade A-C.
Flexible, patient, and proactive , willing to take initiative and work as part of a supportive team.
Passionate about inclusive education , and committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of our students.
Comfortable providing personal care when required.
You may be asked to work across any of our three locations: Danecourt School and our satellite provisions at Featherby Primary (Gillingham) and Bligh Primary (Strood), so flexibility is key.
