Providing therapy to a defined caseload and will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to provide a specialist/occupational mental health service within the DCMH area of responsibility (AoR).As the successful post holder you will have strong people skills, as may line manage Band 6 and 5 Community Mental Health Professionals (CMHPs).
They will provide specialist and generic supervision to nurses and other allied health providers as required, with particular emphasis on supporting colleagues working towards a formal qualification in CBT and accreditation with respective accrediting organisations.

Job description Job responsibilities Duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:Providing advice and recommendations to MO/GP on all matters of mental health, care and treatment which will include occupational advice on the individuals ability to be employed in their operational role.
At times this will include communicating, where appropriate, on occupational information directly to the service persons Chain of Command (CoC) whilst respecting the principle of patient confidentiality.
Providing recognised and clinically recommended interventions and managerial guidance for an identified, varied and often complex caseload, the needs of which can be safely met within the clinical time available and the clinical expertise possessed.
Producing clinical reports to MO/GP and other relevant professional agencies after initial assessment, on discharge from caseload and where otherwise indicated/appropriate.

Qualifications Essential Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) registration as an occupational therapist or practitioner psychologist or Social Work England Registered Social Worker with Post-graduate training and accreditation in NICE recognised modality for common mental disorders ( CBT, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Counselling for Depression etc).
OR Demonstrable experience working in adult mental health.
Post Graduate qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies or BABCP accredited CBT practitioner.
OR Graduate level professional background in adult mental health and substantial post-qualification training and experience in at least two evidence based psychological therapies.
Accredited or eligible for accreditation by a recognised body (BABCP, BACP, UKCP).
Post Graduate qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies.
Experience Essential Demonstrable experience of working as a graduate level professional in adult mental health.
Experience of working in adult community mental health.
