A well-established construction company operating throughout the UK and Ireland is seeking an experienced Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks, utilising their experience and skills to support various site activities.
Ensure all site activities comply with relevant safety, health, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
Oversee site personnel, including subcontractors, and ensure appropriate risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place.
Supervise and coordinate site labour and subcontractors.
Assist the project team in ensuring construction meets contract specifications and quality standards.
Prepare and approve RAMS for site activities.
Implement inspections and maintain accurate records, including those related to permits, accidents, and non-conformance.
Maintain up-to-date project documentation and communicate risks and progress effectively to relevant managers.
Qualifications Essential: Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role Demonstrated experience in setting out large-scale projects Valid driving license Relevant safety management training Desirable: Experience with groundworks, drainage, roadworks, and structural projects First aid training Proficiency in using industry-specific software and IT systems We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
