As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Workshop Fitter to join our team.
**Hours Monday – Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am -12noon** Be part of the movement – and play your part.
About the role You will be responsible for Diagnosing vehicle faults and rectifying defects Carrying out vehicle inspections and Preventative maintenance Arrange for all equipment to be serviced in line with manufacturers guidelines and current regulations.
Remove unserviceable or faulty equipment from use.
Ensure that it is reported so that it can be repaired or replaced.
Repair and maintenance equipment as and when required and check and calibrate equipment wherever appropriate.
Give technical advice and support where necessary.
Keep personal knowledge of standards; new equipment; manufacturers and statutory regulations current.
Always work safely and adhere to all health and safety procedures.
About you Must have minimum level 3 certificate in HGV heavy oil maintenance.
Experience in trailer repair and MOT essential.
Experience on Lorry maintenance and MOT essential.
Understanding of ABS systems an advantage Must have own tools.
Must be prepared to cover shifts on service van / breakdowns for one week on a rotational basis.
