Role Overview
The Venture Capital Associate will support Sound Advisory's investment team in sourcing, evaluating, and managing venture capital investments. This role involves conducting market research, financial analysis, and due diligence to identify promising startups. The Venture Capital Associate will play a key role in the investment process and help shape the firm's portfolio strategy.
Key Responsibilities Assist in sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities in early-stage startups. Conduct financial modeling, due diligence, and market analysis to assess the potential of investment opportunities. Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Support the investment team in managing existing portfolio companies and tracking performance. Build and maintain relationships with founders, investors, and other venture capital professionals. Attend industry events, pitch meetings, and networking opportunities to expand the investment pipeline. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or related fields. Strong financial analysis, modeling, and due diligence skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
