West Midlands/ temporary / £100 - 140 per day A large, well-respected mainstream secondary school in Worcester is looking for a Head of Year (non-teaching) to join the school's wider Pastoral Team in January 2025 on a short-term, full-time basis.
Your role will be to assist and support Key Stage 3 and 4 students with behavioural challenges and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to show a commitment and enthusiasm to work with young children and their families, have knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, a confident and positive approach, the ability to uphold the school's behavioural policy, excellent behavioural management skills, and excellent communication skills.
This is a full-time, temporary post.
Key responsibilities: Working closely with the school's SENDCo and wider teaching team Providing 1-1 and small group support to students who have challenging behaviour Being proactive in encouraging and enforcing the school's behavioural policy Encouraging learning Supporting in Inclusion when needed Helping students to overcome barriers to learning Providing general classroom cover when required TeacherActive will be able to offer the successful supply teacher a friendly and approachable service along with the following: Competitive rates of pay An experienced consultant who will support you in your placements Introductions to other schools which use supply teachers *Rate of pay will be subject to experience and/or qualifications* All our staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you're paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance, and there's no messing around with admin charges coming out of your hard-earned cash.
