Job Introduction We are seeking a qualified Children's Psychotherapist to join our Health and Wellbeing Team.
Up to £40,000 per annum The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and adolescents affected by trauma, providing direct therapeutic support and guidance to teams.
About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children.
As a key member of our team, you will work in a trauma-responsive way to address emotional and behavioural challenges.
You will provide individual and group therapy sessions, working closely with carers and family members to develop personalized interventions.
Key responsibilities include: Formulating plans of support and care for children, including assessment and report writing Providing therapeutic training for our teams Sharing observations to inform tailored strategies and interventions Working on a flexible basis, including at Head Office and in children's homes Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: Substantial experience working directly with children in a psychology or counselling capacity UKCP/BACP registration and a qualification in counselling, level 4 or above Excellent knowledge of trauma and attachment theories A good understanding of legislation and regulations surrounding residential childcare Excellent communication and IT skills, as well as proficiency in record keeping A full, valid UK driving licence and access to your own transport About Us We are an equal opportunities employer, committed to safeguarding children.
The successful candidate will undergo necessary background checks, governed by regulation, including obtaining an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring service (DBS), Access NI, or Disclosure Scotland.
