Occupational Health Advisor | Competitive Salary | Annual Bonus | Chichester We are currently looking for an Occupation Health Advisor to join our fantastic team in Chichester, West Sussex.
This role plays a key part in promoting a healthy workplace by providing comprehensive occupational health support across the company.
You'll be managing absence and ill-health referrals, conducting job-specific health surveillance, and leading a well-being program to enhance the overall health of our team.
You'll also educate and raise awareness about critical health risks and preventive measures, ensuring everyone feels supported in their well-being journey.
This position supports all employees and relevant agency staff, enabling a healthier, safer, and more informed workforce.
This role offers the flexibility of working either 4 or 5 days per week, with 1 of those days being from home.
What you get from us Competitive salary Annual bonus Flexible working (1 day from home) Employer matched pension up to 5% Health cash plan Flexible benefits including; Corporate gym discounts, shopping discounts, enhanced maternity & paternity policy and many more Access to online GP & life assurance Responsibilities Action and progress management referrals for short-term, long-term sickness absence and workplace injury Make suitable and appropriate recommendations regarding rehabilitation programs or work adjustments Manage and support the program of employment and periodic health surveillance and statutory medicals for all employees and agency staff with 3 months service or more Line management of an Occupational Health Nurse employed by the company Design and deliver a health promotion / well-being program aimed at educating and improving the health of Natures Way staff Offer general medical advice in a walk in capacity Maintain up to date OH records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive medical information Develop, review and revise OH policies and procedures Monitor performance of the service and provide a spreadsheet to the people team after each period Undertake appropriate continuous performance development (CPD) training in line with revalidation requirements Requirements Registered Nurse with an occupational health Diploma or degree Driven by continuous improvement, with expertise in tools and techniques to lead health improvement programs focused on reducing workplace health risks Calm, self-directed, and adaptable in a changing environment, providing stability and guidance to site management Occupational health leadership experience with strong communication skills Proven success in enhancing business performance through structured occupational health initiatives Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Occupational Health databases Team player with the confidence to lead OH and drive health and well-being culture change Knowledge of manufacturing environments, including shift work Effective communicator with colleagues at all levels Strong time management and organisational skills Experience working across multiple sites Nature's Way Foods is the leading manufacturer of prepared salads, coleslaw and "food-to-go" for supermarkets and retailers, and as such we work closely with farmers across Europe.
