Main duties of the job We're thrilled to announce an opening for a Streaming Clinician at Leeds Urgent Care LGI Minor Illness Service, part of OneMedical Group.
LGI (Leeds General Infirmary) is part of Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
The service is located either in or near to Leeds City Centre, has good public transport links and onsite parking.
This is a brand-new role, introduced to support the expansion of our service and deliver an enhanced model of care that truly makes a difference.

Job description Job responsibilities About the RoleAs a Streaming Clinician, you will be at the heart of patient care, ensuring individuals who walk into the Emergency Department (ED) at LGI are seamlessly directed to the right clinical pathway.
Using the VET (Visualise, Explore, Triage) model, you'll assess and stream patients to appropriate services such as: Minor Illness Service; ED Department; Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC);Or other specialties.
Your role is pivotal in recognizing high-risk presentations for patients of all ages, from children to adults.
While you wont discharge patients, your skilled assessments will ensure they receive the most suitable care.
Tools and TechnologyYou'll work with cutting-edge systems, including:Symphony, the hospital IT system for seamless patient data input SystemOne, connecting you with your clinical colleagues in the Minor Illness Service They will be primarily based at LGI, with occasional opportunities to bring their expertise to other OneMedical Group urgent care sites as needed, subject to prior approval.

Level 7 qualification in minor illness and/or clinical assessment and management skills Desirable Teaching qualification , 998 or equivalent Experience Essential Experience of managing acute undifferentiated presentations Experience of working in emergency/urgent care settings Ability to triage/stream in fast pace environment Desirable Good understanding of autonomous practice within a minor illness/urgent care centre and the roles that deliver this Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in using based patient documentation systems.
Knowledge of IT systems including System One, Symphony (desirable) Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
Proven ability to work as part of a team.
In-depth Knowledge of the CQC Key lines of Enquiry Current knowledge of government targets and initiatives and guidelines and their impact on clinical practice.
