Job summary AAU is an extremely busy 19 bedded ward that accepts patients for medical assessment from and A&E.
We are looking for a Sister/Charge with Acute Care experience to complete our team, who will have excellent communication skills, keen to learn and has the ability to develop and support students and staff with clinical expertise.The successful applicant will be expected to function effectively under pressure without compromising basic standards of care and professionalism.

Main duties of the job To support the ward Matron in maintaining efficient, effective,safe delivery of patient care, within a busy, fast-paced environment thatpromotes a responsible leadership, employee wellbeing and upholds our Trust values.
We offer: Revalidation Support/Regular Appraisals Leadership/Managerial experiences Educational support - courses to enhance both clinical and leadership skills Career Progression You will need at least two years experience in an acute setting at Band 5, with a Mentorship or Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor (PA/PS) or the equivalent qualification.

Person Specification Experience Essential Substantial post registration experience at band 5 Experience of working autonomously and managing a caseload Desirable Experience of teaching and presentation skills Computer and keyboard skills Skills Essential Demonstrate the potential for leadership Demonstrate enhanced skills within relevant speciality Demonstrate understanding of professional requirements in line with revalidation.
