Multiple Sclerosis Nurse

Job summary As a member of our friendly and supportive team you will be working to support the delivery of multiple sclerosis service provision for patients within the community across Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Waterlooville, Petersfield and Hayling Island.
The role also entails a high proportion of advice and training for patients alongside other Health and Social Care professionals within the region, acting as a source of specialist advice for local professionals.A keen interest in multiple sclerosis (MS) supported by experience of working with patients with MS/neurological conditions, as well as an MS qualification or a willingness to undertake this in the future is essential.
Experience of teaching in any capacity would be essential and some experience of working within the primary care setting is preferred.

Main duties of the job To deliver a specialist service providing specialist case management and educational support for patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) under the supervision of the Multiple Sclerosis Specialist Nurse Lead (MSNS), coordinating care with partner agencies and key stakeholders with the aim of promoting well-being, education for patients and healthcare professionals in order to prevent hospital admission by maintaining safe and effective care in the community setting.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential *Maintain registration on the Health Professions Council or NMC and comply with the standards for registrants.
*MS Qualification or willingness to undertake.
Mentorship/teaching qualification, ENB 998 or C&G 730 or extensive relevant teaching experience.
