Key Responsibilities Full Debtors Ledger Management: Take ownership of the debtors ledger, including customer portal reconciliations.
Credit Control: Ensure that target aged debt is maintained and take necessary actions to manage outstanding receivables.
Process Improvements: Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing processes and improving efficiency within the AR function.
Management Accounts Assistance: Provide support in the preparation of management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Journals & ERP System: Prepare and post journals in the ERP System (Epicor), ensuring accurate financial data management.
Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and manage bank reconciliation processes.
Audit Assistance: Be a key participant in the annual fixed asset audit, annual stock take, and assist with external audits as required.
Lease Management: Handle lease-related financial tasks, ensuring documentation and processes are well-managed.
ERP & System Maintenance: Support the ongoing maintenance of the ERP system (Epicor) and assist in process improvements.
Ad Hoc Duties & Projects: Assist with ad-hoc duties and finance-related projects as required by the business.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Forward-Thinking & Problem-Solving: A proactive attitude with the ability to identify challenges and find solutions.
Self-Motivation: Able to work independently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Customer and Service-Focused: A focus on providing excellent service to both internal and external clients.
Accuracy: Strong attention to detail with a drive for delivering precise financial results.
Experience using Epicor ERP System is advantageous.
AAT Qualification or equivalent (part qualification also considered).
Previous experience in a manufacturing business is desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office , particularly Excel, is essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong finance background to play a key role in managing AR processes and supporting the finance team with critical financial tasks.
