This role focuses on providing internal communications delivery expertise to the business as well as communications and engagement events and activities.
Designed to generate great engagement and involvement, you will help create an environment where employees feel connected and like they belong so that they can give their best each day.
You will report directly to the Head of the Business Support team with support from the UK Internal Communications Business Partner.
This role will work closely with UWS UK leadership team, other stakeholders and external suppliers.
Day to day you will: Be a team player and share best practice across the functional team and UWS UK team Lead and deliver employee wellbeing and fun events & activities across UK sites.
Create, deliver and maintain fresh, engaging & interesting wall art and electronic & physical collateral including up to date information on TV screens across UWS UK sites.
Source, write and edit internal content and publish across a range of channels.
Provide logistical and delivery support for UK Employee Briefings and communication events Update and maintain the UWS UK Intranet page About you: You are an excellent communicator both written and oral, demonstrating strong business acumen, with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organisation.

Encourages and facilitates a culture of dialogue amongst all audiences.
Is proactive and gets out there to understand how our people think and feel.
To be successful in this role, it's essential you have a strong knowledge of what good engagement looks like, internal communication channels, event management and business as usual communications activities.
You will need to be able to demonstrate your experience and understanding of business requirements to support the translation into internal communications and engagement activities.
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions.
This role requires Security Clearance (SC).
It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.

To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years' residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided.
