Our robust software suite streamlines operations, enhances customer experiences, and maximizes profitability for rental businesses of all sizes.As a DevOps Engineer, you will support multiple enterprise multi-tenant cloud applications distributed throughout the world in a multi-AZ AWS environment.
You'll be part of a cross functional team, and be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet our customers' needs.
You'll benefit from short sprints and a consistent work pace.
And you'll be driving innovation across some of our fastest growing product lines.
Required ExperienceProfessional experience as a Software EngineerProfessional experience as a Devops Engineer.Experience working with Linux systems (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)AWS ExperienceHigh level of understanding in cloud networking - including transitive routing, site-to-site network establishment, segmented account networking, etc.Comfortable with operating from the Linux command line interfacePython (most preferred)/BASH and/or other scripting languages.Familiarity with deployment/management tools (Jenkins, AWS SSM, Rundeck, etc).Problem solving attitude.Collaborative team spirit.Ability to write efficient scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
Ability to dig in and get hands on to provide "quick win" performance improvements.Ability to work outside of traditional working hours as needed by the business.Preferred ExperienceComfortable with Windows DSCFamiliarity with NoSQL, especially DynamoDB and/or Redis.Experience with serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateways, Cloudfront, etc) and containerizationExperience with Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and CloudFormation.ResponsibilitiesBuilding and setting up new development tools and infrastructureWorking on ways to automate and improve development and release processesTesting and examining code written by others and analyzing resultsEnsuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threatsDeploy updates and fixesBuild tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experienceDevelop software to integrate with internal back-end systemsPerform root cause analysis for production errorsInvestigate and resolve technical issuesDevelop scripts to automate visualization and other tasksRewardsAn actual fun working environment.Continue learning through conference attendance, courses, and cross-training.A job that will give you a true sense of accomplishment working with a leader in the industry.Job Type: Full-Time, exempt.Point of Rental has been honored as one of Inc. 500's Best Places to Work in 2024
