To achieve these objectives, we: Build new healthcare infrastructures and form partnerships that enhance the global reach and efficiency of medical solutions. Conduct cutting-edge research in a multidisciplinary setting to conceptualise and quantify the clinical impact of medical breakthroughs across our core health endeavours. Collaborate with scientists, clinicians, policymakers, and healthcare providers to develop strategies that promote sustainable improvements in health outcomes for society. Use state of the art tools, like generative artificial intelligence to drive innovation in therapies and medical understanding. Leverage digital cloud infrastructure to ensure equitable global distribution of lifesaving vaccines, therapeutics, and technologies. Make the medical case for businesses and governments to deliver solutions to major health problems. Shape medical products, services, and healthcare delivery systems to address humanity's greatest health challenges and enable rapid implementation of solutions. Provide intellectual leadership and recommendations to support decision-makers in establishing new frameworks and targets for success in all medical endeavours. We are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Clinic Manager to oversee the development and management of our private clinic, advanced laboratory settings, and associated facilities.
This role will be responsible for the coordination of setting up all clinic infrastructure, including software, hardware, equipment, SOPs. Initially, the Clinic Manager will support design reviews of the proposed facility and equipment, then take ownership of developing comprehensive plans, completing license applications and registrations, and ensuring operational times are met. As the clinic progresses, the Clinic Manager will build and lead the team to ensure the clinic is fully functional and that all relevant procedures and processes are in place to achieve the necessary accreditation Key Responsibilities: Clinic Management: The clinic manager will be the primary contact in hours and out-of-hours and be the operational expert for any audits and external body requirements Exceptional running of the entire clinical function, which may include deliveries, equipment, clinical waste, cleaning checks, audits, management of teams, management of patients, and management of visitors. Ensure the clinic is fully compliant through regular internal audit and inspections Overseeing clinic operations and staff duties Managing the clinic's budget, billing system, and inventory Undertake the role of CQC Registered Manager. Overseeing the purchasing, maintenance, and repair of clinic equipment. Ensure the clinic diary maximises capacity. Regularly communicate current clinic status to all key stakeholders as required Be responsible for housekeeping, tidiness and general cleanliness of all areas in which the post-holder is working. Compliance Admin: Complete all necessary documents to apply for necessary permits and license ie HTA, CQC. Ensure the bio lab complies with all regulations related to the healthcare facility including CQC and HTA. Conduct a comprehensive risk assessment for potential hazards. Write Procedures for equipment, systems and processes, support users with creation of risk assessments, to allow operation by others, where required. Reviewing patient records to ensure that all required information is accurate and up to date. Ensure cost savings without compromise to quality or finish are highlighted to management, including competitive tender on quotations, as required. Maintain accurate records and compile reports as required. Participate in the identification and evaluation of long-term strategies and produce detailed equipment specifications and capital proposals when required. Ensure that safe working methods and practices are adopted by the post-holders and all subordinates or contractors the post-holder is responsible for, at all times and in accordance with EIT policy for the safety of the post-holders and others within the working environment.
To make recommendations for safe working practices. Keep up-to-date with Legislation, Health and Safety issues and new technological developments within the post-holders field that impact on EIT specifically and the industry generally and where appropriate to assess and recommend their implementation.
To be aware of all clinical fields that impact on the activities of EIT. Management: Hire, train, and conduct performance evaluations of clinic teams, ensuring the team is aware of and trained in relevant compliance issues. Managing the team of direct reports including phlebotomists, admin staff, and external 3rd party providers. Supervise contractors in the clinic and co-ordinate and optimise their utilisation in the most effective way, ensuring the quality of delivery at all times Participating in regular meetings with staff members to discuss KPIs and prepare reports on clinic performance and submit to line manager on a regular basis Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health services administration or a medically related field or equivalent work experience A CQC registered Clinic manager with strong leadership skills Proven experience in CQC clinic or healthcare management Strong knowledge of similar clinic operations, regulations and compliance requirements. Expertise in pharmacy operations adhering to GxP (GMP, GLP, GDP) practices, knowledge surrounding CQC and HTA applications and expertise surrounding patient-facing sample taking/phlebotomy. Proficiency in managing budgets, billing, and negotiating with suppliers and vendors. Knowledge and understanding of the offering around medical devices. Competency with computer-based healthcare administration systems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal English Have been responsible for collating data, conducting research for presentation and reports Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging with senior stakeholders and external partners. Terms of Appointment: You must have the right to work permanently in the UK with a willingness to travel as necessary. You will live in, or within easy commuting distance of, Oxford. During peak periods, some longer hours may be required and some working across multiple time zones due to the global nature of the programme.
