Company Overview New Barn School is a growing educational institution that caters to the needs of SEMH pupils aged 6-19.
With almost 100 pupils across three sites, we are seeking a Support Worker to join our team and contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment for our students.
About the Role We are looking for a full-time Support Worker to assist in preparing learning materials, running classroom activities, and providing hands-on experience and supervision to our students.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEN/SEMH pupils and be willing to adopt a therapeutic approach to teaching.
Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience of working in the independent SEMH sector and with pupils with SEN (highly desirable) A passion for complex SEND and a willingness to adapt to the needs of each student Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and young people Benefits We offer a competitive salary of up to £22,300 per annum, a pension scheme, life assurance, and access to a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits through our Flexible Benefits Platform, Vista.
Additionally, you will receive a fully enhanced DBS and social media checks.
Salary Details The estimated salary for this role is between £20,000 and £22,300 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
