We are seeking an enthusiastic skilled physiotherapist to be part of the physiotherapy team.
You will form an essential part of a dedicated, knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team that regularly engages with team and individual clinical supervision.
Development and training opportunities are available through the CLCH Academy.You must be a car owner and have a valid UK driving licence as this role involves working with patients in their own home, covering West Hertfordshire.
Main duties of the job To undertake comprehensive assessment, planning and treatment of patients with neurological impairment as a result of stroke using clinical reasoning methods to implement therapeutic intervention and provide patient centre intervention.To write reports and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patients.To delegate, teach and supervise the work of rehabilitation assistants with guidance from senior staff.To work with other health care professionals on joint assessments, patient goals and treatment programmes in a patient centred approach.

** Person Specification Education/Qaulification Essential Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy Current HCPC registration Evidence of up to date CPD portfolio Attendance at specialist short courses or equivalent CPD activities within the specialist areas of Adult Rehabilitation, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Older People Rehabilitation Member of Professional Body Desirable Member of a Special Interest Group relevant to this post Experience Essential Experience post registration as a Band 5 physiotherapist Experience working at a Junior level in a wide range of specialised clinical areas including outpatients, neurology, rehabilitation, orthopedics and respiratory Desirable Experience working with voluntary organisations.
Experience in service development projects.
Skills and Knowledge Essential Skills in the assessment and treatment of adults with complex multi-pathologies Knowledge and understanding of complex medical conditions including multipathologies and falls Knowledge of role of Allied Health Professionals and interdisciplinary team working Ability to apply core Physiotherapy skills across a range of clinical conditions within a client centered, goal setting Knowledge of outcome measures and evidence-based practice Ability to problem solve, prioritise and demonstrate clinical reasoning Good communication and report writing skills, in both verbal and written format Basic IT skills - Microsoft Word, Power point, Excel Teaching of junior staff / students, peers in Inservice training setting Knowledge and understanding of the role of Social Services and voluntary agencies Involvement in Appraisal Scheme Desirable Supervision of assistant / junior staff Supervision of Students Knowledge and experience in research and audit Knowledge and understanding of National Service Framework for Older People Knowledge and understanding of NICE and CSP/COT Fallers Guidelines
