Job summary North Shoebury Surgery is looking to recruit an advanced clinical practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team, to help us to transform and modernise pathways of care, enabling the safe and effective sharing of skills across traditional professional boundaries.
As an experienced healthcare professional, educated to masters level, they will have developed the skills and knowledge to allow them to take on an expanded role and scope of practice caring for patients.
Main duties of the job Demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
Be practising autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care.
This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the directorate.
Support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient-focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.
Have responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.
About us North Shoebury Surgery in the last six months merged the partnership with Thorpe Bay gone from strength to strength working as a fully digital accessible platform with our patients.
The partnership offers face to face along with virtual appointments, patients have the freedom of choice as well as sites of preference.
Clinically we have a wide range of skills ranging from HCA, GPA, Practice Nurse, Associate nurse practitioner, Advance nurse practitioner, Prescribing Paramedic, GP, Pharmacy Technician, Lead Pharmacy Technician.
Both sites are Nurse training and GP Training sites, we have a various students that train and work with the team throughout the year, this is something we are extremely proud to be able to offer.

Person Specification Experience Essential Evidence of on-going CPD.
Advanced clinical assessment skills.
Experience with Triage system would be preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to perform in stressful and complex situations.
Sound clinical reasoning & decision making.
Flexibility.
Ability to inspire, educate and enhance team working.
Qualifications Essential Professional registration with relevant professional body: NMC, HCPC or GPhC.
Masters degree.
Post-registration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in specialty area.
