If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic developer as an Estimator .
You will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of residential projects, from initial costing to tender submissions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates for residential development projects, including land acquisition budgets and construction costs.
Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Obtain and review quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure value for money.
Conduct risk assessments and provide detailed breakdowns of project costs.
Collaborate with the design and construction teams to develop cost-effective solutions.
Prepare tender submissions and ensure deadlines are met.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and supply chain changes.
Manage and update a database of pricing and cost information for future use.
Provide support to the project team throughout the lifecycle of developments.
Requirements Proven experience as an Estimator, with a strong focus on residential projects.
Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Proficiency in using estimating software and Excel.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Experience working with a developer or main contractor in the residential sector.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites when required.
