Support Worker

We are looking for compassionate, confident and dynamic people who want to make a difference in the lives of homeless people to join us as Support Workers .
Our role is to provide a safe place to stay and to access support for people who have substance use issues and complex needs.
The service delivery model is rooted in the harm reduction approach, based on trauma-informed practice, is strength-based and uses person-centred approaches.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with the delivery of support to homeless clients with complex needs, using harm reduction methods Liaising with other agencies to provide support and advocacy Work with clients as part of a person-centred support planning approach Work with clients as part of the Support Team to ensure the needs and actions within person-centred plans are addressed professionally.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: Motivation towards supporting homeless individuals to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes The ability to form positive, supportive and motivating relationships Able to work within the ethos of The Salvation Army Application for registration within SSSC as soon as possible and within 3 months of starting the role and must be registered within six months.

Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and a satisfactory PVG Scheme check.
