Role Summary As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing commercial aspects of projects ranging in size and complexity.
This includes providing basic project management services for small to medium-sized projects, ensuring alignment with client and business objectives, and driving financial performance.
Key Responsibilities Administer contracts and manage work packages.
Deliver accurate cost and value reporting to meet client and business requirements.
Prepare and submit applications for payment and ensure timely cash receipts.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimise financial and commercial risks.
Prepare and estimate contract changes, variations, and claims in compliance with contractual frameworks.
Provide commercial support to project teams, including contract compliance and change management advice.
Establish and maintain interfaces with internal and client project teams.
Ensure adherence to company standards, governance, and contractual obligations.
Maintain auditable records in accordance with contract requirements.
Provide training and mentorship to graduate team members.
Key Requirements Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (5+ years' experience in commercial management).
Professional certification (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
Proficiency in NEC contract management with a proven track record in post-contract environments.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Experience in medium-value, complex projects within a related industry.
Excellent financial and commercial acumen.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Project, and Outlook.
Experience in a matrix working environment and a collaborative team setting.
