Key duties As a commercial account executive, your key duties will focus on revenue generation: Processing with new business for commercial SME businesses Follow up on leads Provide clients with comprehensive and price-comparative insurance.
Ensuring timely renewals and a healthy renewal/retention ratio; and Proactively exploiting cross-selling opportunities.
Required experience To thrive in the role, youll need extensive (at least 2 years) commercial product liability experience and have worked in a SME commercial new business focussed role.
Acturis broking systems experience is highly desirable.
What the role needscrucial qualities To succeed, youll be an innate relationship buildereffortlessly developing and maintaining strong, effective relationships with clients, insurers, underwriters, and colleagues.
Youll also bring excellent existing links with introducers.
Strong commercial new business-focused experience, you appreciate the importance of delivering outstanding client service.
Youre driven by meeting (and preferably exceeding) clients needs.
As a natural entrepreneur, you can identify and exploit commercial opportunities.
Youve built a proven sales track record and can demonstrate that youve achieved measurable growth in your current position.
Personal skills An experienced and tenacious commercial account executive, youll develop your skills to an exciting new level.
To thrive, youll need to be a confident and accomplished communicator, by phone and face-to-face.
Highly organised, youre great at time management and rigorous at keeping on top of your (timely) admin.
As youll assume greater autonomy and responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail will be crucial.
Youll also need to be expert at organising your own workload and managing your own diary.
Required qualifications You must be Cert CII qualified, working towards it, or motivated to do so.
Diploma in Insurance would be useful but is not essential.
Career development Therell be full support for professional development with on-the-job training and external professional development courses.
Benefits include Joining a friendly and outgoing team, the minimum office-based requirement is 3 in the office and 2 from home.
(flexible, depending on the needs of the business) Highly attractive base salary and quarterly commission incentive (up to 35% uncapped commission, over threshold) Youll need a full driving license, and it would be useful if you have access to a car for business use.
