Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Chorlton-cum-Hardy Teaching Personnel is excited to recruit a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant for an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school located in Chorlton-cum-Hardy .
This full-time role begins in January and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the position to become permanent based on performance.
This opportunity offers a competitive weekly pay rate of £419.25 - £500 , depending on qualifications and experience.
About the Role This role is ideal for recent graduates in mathematics who are considering a career in teaching or education.
You will play a key role in supporting students' learning, helping them overcome challenges in maths, and fostering a deeper understanding of the subject.
Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help create a positive and engaging environment for students to succeed.
Key Responsibilities Classroom Assistance : Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective maths lessons, ensuring students stay on track and engaged.
Targeted Interventions : Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group sessions to support students who need additional help with maths concepts.
Curriculum Support : Assist in planning and preparing resources to meet the needs of students across different abilities.
Mentoring : Act as a mentor to students, offering guidance and encouragement to help build their confidence in maths and problem-solving skills.
Progress Monitoring : Work with teachers to track and assess student progress, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting support accordingly.
Behavioural Support : Promote a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere, encouraging good behaviour and a growth mindset among students.
The Ideal Candidate Mathematics Graduate : A degree in maths or a closely related field is essential.
Passion for Education : A genuine interest in helping young people succeed and a desire to pursue a career in education.
Strong Communicator : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.
Proactive and Adaptable : Willing to take the initiative and adapt to the needs of a dynamic school environment.
Experience (Desirable) : Previous experience working with young people in any capacity is advantageous but not essential.
