For International Medical Graduates we will supportyou to get Section 12 and Approved Clinician status and also in the longer termvia CESR we will support you to become substantive consultants on the GMCspecialist register.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our innovative and experienced community specialist CAMHS team in Berkshire West.
Due to vacancies created by new service developments and staff changing their roles, we have a total of 6PAs available within our West Specialist Community team (based at Reading).
The role is mainly based at the stunning Erlegh House, based in the grounds of Reading University and close to the campus, which offers access to some of the University facilities, such as the gym.
There will also be some travel required to other SCT sites for meetings and an element of home working.
Berkshire Healthcare CAMHS runs apathway model with locality-based specialist community teams working alongsidecounty-wide specialist care pathway teams including neurodevelopmentalservices, EIP, CAMHS Eating disorders, a Rapid Response team.
The Consultant willbe primarily responsible for the provision of psychiatric services to childrenand young people living in the Reading locality, but will work collaborativelywith the other Consultants within the West Business Unit, to ensure thatpsychiatric services are provided relative to demand across the unit.
The Multi-Disciplinary Teamprovides an outpatient Tier 3 Specialist CAMH service to children andadolescents up to their eighteenth birthday in the assessment, diagnosis, andtreatment of mental health disorders.
Wehave a good working relationship with the AMHT and there is a trust-widetransition policy.
The Berkshire West SCT teamare a cohesive team of professionals including Psychologists, Family Therapist,Art Therapist, nurses, CBT therapist, assistants and a very experienced adminteam who run our clinics with great expertise.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Academic Skills & Lifelong Learning Able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training.
Participated in continuous professional development.
Has actively participated in clinical audit and quality Able to plan and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training relevant to this Experienced in clinical research and / or service evaluation.
MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
Holds and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
