Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic and self-motivated individuals to work for Talking Therapies (Improving Access to Psychological Therapy/ IAPT) ServiceThe Talking Therapies service has dedicated teams of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs), Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and Counsellors who offer a range of support to help people make positive changes to reduce stress and anxiety and improve their opportunity exists for two suitably qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, who are passionate about providing meaningful and effective therapeutic experiences to address common mental health problems, to join the Preston Talking Therapies team.
Preston is a beautiful part of the UK and has lots to offer in terms of activities, stunning scenery and community.Applicants who have not completed their training as a CBT therapist will not be considered.
Applicants need to be BACP fully accredited.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Formally recognised Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Post Graduate (Master's Level) diploma Provisional CBT Accreditation with BABCP Professional qualification in health or social care, RMN or Social Worker OR KSA equivalence Knowledge Essential Highly developed specialist knowledge of the theory and practice of cognitive behaviour therapy Extensive theoretical and clinical knowledge of the Clear portfolio of CPD activity including courses and self study.

Experience Essential A broad range of experience of working with a wide variety of Extensive experience and knowledge of Application and interview clients that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse.
Significant experience of delivering specialist Cognitive Behaviour Therapy assessment and treatment of clients in Adult Mental Health, and managing own clinical caseload of therapy clients safely and effectively Experience of managing risk and safeguarding concerns according to relevant policies
