We arelooking for a 7.5-ton Courier Driver located at our Howden site DN14 7SE.
You will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from our customers, enhancing the customer experience at every stage.
The Courier role is key to ensuring that the company principles and ethos are demonstrated at all times, ensuring that the service provided to customers is delivered with speed, passion and a can-do attitude.
You will be expected to achieve excellent customer service which requires flexibility, the ability to work under pressure and establish new relationships quickly and effectively.
You will be measured upon customer satisfaction and completed timely deliveries and collections.
As a frontline representative for the company, you will be required to complete all tasks in a customer-focused manner.
You will be required to demonstrate excellent planning and organization skills to prioritise work to meet customers requirements.
You will work on an assigned geographical route, however, may be asked to change your route from time to time to meet business needs.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm.
Overtime will be paid at time and a half after 45 hours this is a temp to perm position.
This is a temp-to-perm position.
Benefits: Statuary holiday entitlement, pro rata Ongoing support from your dedicated consultant Weekly pay and pension scheme Access to 24 hour Employee Assistance Programme Temp-to-perm position,pending performance Duties: Accurately record working and driving hours to comply with road transport regulations Complete daily safety checks, safe loading/securing load of vehicle, maintenance, legislative/regulations and adherence to company driving standards (including tachograph vehicles) Scanning and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met Excellent planning and organizational skills Adherence to all relevant operational policies Comply with all applicable security procedures and bring any potential security breaches or concerns to the attention of their supervisors Hold a shared responsibility for own development and willingness to attend training courses that will be required from time to time Complete multiple deliveries and collections of shipments of a variety of shapes, sizes and weights Work within your service centre team to deliver expected results Sort and prioritise workload (including multiple route sort) to ensure time commitments are met.
