Main duties of the job The PALS Senior Administratoris a supporting role as part of the Patient Experience Team enabling effective corporatecommunications.
The post holder will provide advice, information, andsignposting to patients and carers who contact NHS Sussex, maintain effectiverecord keeping and logs, and support reporting.The post holder will be required to communicate with membersof the population via email and on the telephone, and be required, onoccasions, to de-escalate challenging situations in a professional manner, orto ensure a manager is able to assist the enquirer.
The role requires effectivecommunication skills, and helping members of the public to ensure that theirfeedback is valued and can cause a positive change.Interviews will take place on 19th December.

The post holder will also: Assist in complying with all statutory and regulatory guidelines Ensure administrative processes align with internal targets within NHS Sussex.
Maintain a robust, transparent, and secure database system to ensure that all information is kept efficiently and effectively Build professional relationships with colleagues across the system and be a key member of the team.
Providing administrative support to all team members to support a range of department initiatives.
Taking notes and distributing notes of meetings, including typing up of group discussions as necessary.
To participate in surveys and audits as necessary in order to enable the organisation to meet its statutory requirements.

Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own and others workloads to changing and often tight deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and able to multi-task.
Effective team working Minute taking Qualifications Essential Educated to NVQ/RSA Diploma level 4 in a relevant subject or equivalent level of education or evidence of experience equivalent to level of qualification.
Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Other Essential An ability to maintain confidentiality and trust.
Professional, calm, and efficient manner Commitment to continuing professional development.
