Senior Engineer – Slab/Concrete Package (Cardiff) Location: Cardiff, United Kingdom Project Duration: 3 Years Package: Competitive salary with a generous remuneration package We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineer to join our client on an ambitious and technically challenging building project in Cardiff.
This long-term opportunity offers the chance to work on a landmark development and contribute to its success from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the Slab/Concrete package on-site, ensuring high-quality execution in alignment with project specifications and timelines.
Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications related to the concrete works.
Monitor progress and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Implement effective quality control processes to ensure the durability and performance of all concrete works.
Resolve technical issues and provide expert guidance to site teams during construction activities.
Manage budgets, resources, and schedules for the concrete package to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Conduct regular site inspections and prepare progress reports for stakeholders.
Liaise with design and engineering teams to provide technical input and address potential challenges.
Qualifications and Experience Minimum HND qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field (degree-level qualification preferred).
8–10 years of proven experience managing slab and concrete packages on large-scale, complex construction projects.
Strong technical knowledge of concrete construction methods, materials, and relevant standards.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
A commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices.
