Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary School Based) Location: Welshpool, Powys Days/Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (08:45am 15:15pm) Job Description:- We are currently seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist primary school in Shrewsbury.
The school provides a stimulating environment for children aged 3 to 11 years old, who have a statement of Autism or related communication disorders as their primary need.

About the Role:- Establish supportive, caring, and secure relationships with children, promoting respect, self-esteem, and a positive attitude.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional, and behavioural/medical needs of the children, responding to them effectively.
Support pupils with social and emotional needs in the learning process, working either 1:1 or with small groups, closely collaborating with the Class Teacher.
Set up classrooms, prepare resources and displays, and assist the class teacher with other classroom aspects as required.
About You: Enhanced Child Workforce DBS.
Minimum of 2 years of referencing.
Excellent and inspirational classroom practitioner, demonstrating outstanding classroom practice with children at the heart of all you do.
High expectations of pupils achievement and behaviour.
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
Experience working with children or adults in a caring capacity.
Transferable skills such as teamwork, initiative, flexibility, adaptability, remaining calm under pressure, caring, and helpful.
Right to work in the UK.
