Cover Supervisor

Job Title: Cover Supervisor  Location: Barnsley Start Date: ASAP  Salary: £95-£110 per day (Depending on experience)  Are you looking for the freedom of flexible working?

Due to increased demand within Barnsley, TeacherActive is currently recruiting a passionate Cover Supervisor to work in one of our Secondary Schools.
We are looking for a Cover Supervisor who is confident covering and managing a classroom while a teacher is off on a short-term absence.
The successful Cover Supervisor will cover a range of lessons using cover work that has been set by the teacher, setting high expectations to motivate students whilst managing challenging behaviour effectively and creating a positive learning environment Our amazing Cover Supervisor will be someone who:  Is highly organised  Has a strong character  Has brilliant attention to detail  Has excellent communication skills   Is flexible  Is patient  Loves working with young people  Can work well as part of a team   The responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor include but are not limited to:  Covering pre-planned lessons across a multitude of subjects  Managing the classroom and supervising pupils  Helping pupils carry out pre-arranged tasks and exercises set out by the teacher  Responding to pupil's questions and helping with their set work  Collecting all completed work at the end of the class to be passed on to the teacher  Reporting back to the teacher or staff about the behaviour of the class and work carried out according to the school's procedure and processes  Dealing with any immediate issues such as emergencies in complete accordance with the school's procedures and policies  In return, the successful teacher will receive/have access to:  A team of dedicated consultants ready to answer any questions and assist you with an easy onboarding process  TeacherActive referral scheme – Receive up to £100 when you refer a friend *Terms and conditions apply*  Market leading rates of pay   CPD Courses as part of the My-Progression channel  Guaranteed Payment Scheme *Terms and Conditions apply*  Possible qualificationsrequired are Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools, Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or Level 3 Certificate in Cover Supervision of Pupils in Schools.
