Main duties of the job DPHC is a vibrant and fast paced organisation which aims toprovide the very best primary healthcare to members of the Armed Forces andother entitled personnel.
DPHC delivers a clinical service in accordance withNHS Standards and MoD policies.You will primarily provide dental treatment, oral hygieneinstruction and education, administration, enhancing force generation andoperational capability and minimising dental morbidity on operations.
Whilealso providing, if requested, clinical and administrative support for theprovision of dental care in other local DPHC sites or health fairs.

Job description Job responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Undertaking Continuous Professional Development in the core subjects of medical emergencies, Infection Prevention Control (IPC), disinfection and decontamination, radiography and radiation protection, legal and ethical issues, and handling complaints, as recommended by the General Dental Council.Providing treatment in line with the scope of practice for dental hygienists as outlined General Dental Council publication Scope of Practice.

Evidence of indemnity cover for general dental practice (candidates are strongly encouraged to have personal professional indemnity).
