Job overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person with high attention to detail to gain project management experience via an internal secondment within the Clinical Engineering and Measurement Group within the Department of Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.The purpose of this short-term secondment is to complete project work related to medical device asset verification, management and record maintenance.
This will involve an understanding of medical devices and their location across all sites managed by OUH.
Accurate record keeping associated with in -person audit activity, knowledge of capital finance purchasing and database management skills.There may be an opportunity to extend the secondment and to develop the initial verification work into a research project considering risk based profiling methods and data-driven trend reporting to inform equipment replacement prioritisation.
Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for communicating with clinical users of medical devices and stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
They will be leading on the verification and accuracy of the asset inventory database and updating the records according to audit activity findings.This project will need the postholder to link in with various stakeholders, including the capital finance team to ensure data comparability across a range of systems.
It is expected that the post holder will possess and develop a range of presentation skills and be able to present the work completed effectively throughout the period of the secondment.
