Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for psychologist or psychological therapists to join our skilled team covering East and Mid Devon.
The successful applicant will provide an applied psychology and psychological therapies service working within the adult community mental health teams.This part-time wte permanent post will be worked as belowEast Devon - Honiton ( wte, hours per week) - based at Haydons Court Mid Devon - Crediton ( wte, hours per week) - worked from home or at Crediton HospitalWe have a diverse and innovative team of psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychological therapists, working closely alongside our dedicated multidisciplinary professional colleagues.
The role will include provision of psychological assessments, formulations and psychological therapies for adults presenting with a broad range of mental health needs.The role may involve supporting the psychologically informed practice of multidisciplinary colleagues in their community team through offering supervision, advice and consultation, reflective practice, training and joint working.The post is open to clinical or counselling psychologists, and psychotherapists or psychological therapists who are registered with an appropriate professional regulatory body and who are trained at masters level or higher.
Main duties of the job The principal purpose of the job is to improve the psychological health & wellbeing of people within the post holders specialist field of practice.Main duties include:1.
Providing a Psychology and Psychological Therapies service to people as a key component of services provided by Devon Partnership Trust2.
Providing local clinical leadership, co-ordination and supervision for trainees and volunteers employed by or attached to the service, under the general direction and supervision of the Professional Lead3.
Carrying a specialist caseload of clients, and providing advice and consultancy to patients, family members, carers and professionals.4.
The post holder will be supported by senior colleagues within their specialist field.
The post holder will be expected to make good use of the expertise of others within the service to further develop their clinical skills with this client group.5.
To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service / local team.6.
The post holder will receive regular professional and clinical supervision in accordance to Trust policy and to Professional Practice Guidelines set out by the British Psychological Society or appropriate designated Professional Body.
Observe, and abide by all relevant Professional Codes of Conduct and Practise including the British Psychological Society.

Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Essential Knowledge: Broad knowledge and familiarity of specialist services; and of the services in the NHS where psychology and psychological therapies is commonly applied.

Ability to tolerate ambiguity, and maintain own morale and motivation in challenging service delivery contexts.
