Job Description Join Barclays as an Android Lead Developer, where you'll be responsible for maintaining the health, stability, and quality of the Barclays App on Android platforms.
This role requires proactive management of app performance, addressing potential issues before they escalate, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
To be successful as an Android Lead Developer, you should have: A strong grasp of Kotlin and Java for Android development.
Demonstrable experience applying good software design principles.
A background in software testing with a focus on delivering high-quality output.
Some other highly valued skills may include: Expertise in identifying and resolving app crashes and performance issues.
Experience with optimizing app size and modular architecture.
A commitment to maintaining code quality and performing regular code reviews.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is based in Knutsford.
