Who You Are As an Educational Psychologist at Lancashire County Council, you have a solid background in psychology and child development, highlighted by your degree in psychology and possibly a postgraduate qualification in educational psychology.

What the Job Involves In this role, you will use your psychology expertise to improve educational and developmental outcomes for children and young people in Lancashire, up to age 25.
You will work in locations such as Accrington, Preston, or Lancaster, promoting collaboration with individuals, families, educational institutions, and regional partners.
Key responsibilities include enhancing welfare, optimizing resources, supporting compliance with special educational needs regulations, and contributing to in-depth assessments.
You will provide interventions, assist in developing service policies, and maintain comprehensive records.
Participation in meetings, training, and data-driven projects is crucial to supporting the evolving priorities of local authorities.
You'll cultivate a dedication to ongoing professional growth, adhering to health, safety, and equal opportunity policies.
