Following a £ Million reconfiguration program in 2022, an additional Interventional Radiology suite at Glenfield has enabled support to a brand new hepatobiliary and Renal department.
The post holder will lead this specialist team to provide Interventional procedures and fluoroscopy across multiple sites.
The successor will have the opportunity to shape the provision of the service for the future needs of its patients, ensuring the team providesImaging at its best.
Main duties of the job The duties and responsibilities of the post holder are to lead and develop the delivery of Interventional Radiology (IR) across multiple sites.
The post holder will work co-operatively with the Modality Lead and other staff in order to ensure that patients receiveImaging at its Best.
This is primarily a first line management role, and requires IRradiographic knowledge and expertise.
The post-holder will be required to work clinically in the department when staffing levels require it and will contribute to the out of hours and on call service.

About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust: Job description Job responsibilities The role is to provide day to day organisation of the IR service and contribute to the delivery of a high quality imaging service to patients.
The post holder will lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team including IR coordinators, Radiology Department Assistants, Assistant Practitioners, Radiographers, IR Nurses, and other Practitioners.
The post holder will provide support, guidance, and development to staff.
An elecment of out-of-hours working, on-call and cross site working will be required.
