Location: Preston, Lancashire Salary: Up to £40,000 per year (37.5 hours per week) Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-respected client for a Deputy Manager to join their team in a 23 bedded children's residential home, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) and mild to moderate Learning Disabilities (LD).
Benefits Include: Achievable bonus of up to £5,000 (£3,500 for a Good Ofsted rating).

About the Role: As the Deputy Manager, you will work alongside the Registered Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality care and support services for young people with complex needs.
Key responsibilities include: Creating a warm, nurturing environment tailored to the needs of the young people.
Ensuring the home operates in compliance with Ofsted standards, policies, and regulations.
Developing and implementing care plans to meet the social, emotional, and educational needs of young people.
Leading on strategies to manage challenging behaviors and promote safeguarding.
Managing staff performance, providing supervision, and ensuring access to training and development.
Overseeing budgets, staffing, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the home.
About You: To excel in this role, youll need: Essential qualifications : Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) and NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent).
Significant experience working in a residential setting with young people who display challenging behaviors.
Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively, ensuring high standards of care.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and experience working with external agencies.
A full driving licence and willingness to use your own vehicle when required.
Key Skills & Behaviors: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, empathetic, and flexible approach.
Ability to manage budgets and handle administrative responsibilities.
