Job description Job responsibilities Cervical cytology & teaching breast awareness Wound care / ulcer care Removal of Sutures New Patient Medicals / Urinalysis / BP checks ECGs COPD diploma / Asthma diploma / Diabetes diploma / Peak Flow Readings / Spirometry LES/DES/QOF related clinical and administrative work Ear irrigation Routine immunisations / Childhood immunisations Travel health advice and vaccinations Contraception Smoking Cessation Flu, Pneumococcal, Shingles and Pertussis in Pregnancy vaccinations Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician At least 2+ years experience in Diabetes / Asthma / COPD Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to GPs as appropriate Clean and/or sterilise equipment using appropriate methods Maintaining and cleaning equipment used by the clinical team Maintaining clinical rooms, stocking and rotating items as required Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurse treatment rooms Ordering of vaccinations and equipment to maintain stock levels Participation in administrative systems in the Practice At all times there will be a need to maintain accurate records A duty to advise colleagues of potential problems or errors within the range of assigned tasks Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered General Nurse (diploma or degree level) Asthma diploma, Diabetes diploma, COPD diploma Cervical Screening, Childhood Immunisations, Health Promotion Desirable Qualifications and Experience in: - Heart Disease, Travel Advice Non medical prescribing Other Essential Car driver with clean licence Able to work at the desired times.

Desirable Experience of EMIS Web Clinical System Experience of Docman 10 General Essential Ability to work without direct supervision and determine own workload priorities.
