Our Transport division combines over 50 years of construction logistics and haulage expertise, and our Plant division boasts one of the largest, most diverse and modern ranges of plant equipment, small tools, formwork and falsework systems.We are currently recruiting for drivers to join our team on the following shift pattern(s) - Tuesday to Saturday, Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday.Annual salary: Approximately £56,000 a year (based on a 50-55 hour working week with 2 additional weekend shifts every 3 weeks, plus driver allowances where applicable)Hourly Rate: £12.85 basic rate (rising to £13.35 after 18 months and £13.85 after 36 months), £13.85 night rate (hours between 6pm and 6am)Location Bonus: £75 per weekWhat we offerPaid breaksDaily meal & night out allowance (where applicable)Full PPE providedGenerous holiday allowance including bank holidays and service-related increaseOngoing training to maintain full CPC hoursFull ongoing training/upskillingCareer development and the opportunity for internal progressionService-related pay increases at 18 & 36 months.Skills/KnowledgeFully competent HGV driver with a minimum 2 years proven experienceFlatbed experience (preferred)Ability to read and interpret maps and use GPS navigation systems effectivelyStrong organisational and time management skills to meet delivery deadlinesLoad and unload securely and efficiently, ensuring proper securing techniques are appliedAdhere to all traffic laws, road regulations and road safety standards while operating the vehicleHave construction logistics knowledge /experience (preferred)Have good communication skills to quickly understand instructions including movement orders and liaise effectively with colleagues and customersQualificationsFull UK driving licenceValid CPC & tacho cardThis is a permanent position, subject to a successful probation periodPlease be advised we reserve the right to close the advert early.
