Our facility provides care for up to 12 young people aged 13 to 18 who require support for complex mental health needs.
Main duties of the job Your RoleAs a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in the recovery of our young people, working closely with them and their families to assess, plan, and implement tailored treatment plans.
With a strong focus on recovery, you'll work towards the discharge of our young people, taking part in a range of therapeutic activities designed to support their care plans.This is more than just a job; it's a chance to join a team that values collaboration and excellence in care.

Job description Job responsibilities Act as the key worker for young people open in inpatients facility, working collaboratively with the young people, their families, Care Coordinator and wider care team.Work with a high risk client group who have severe mental health problems, dealing with severely challenging behaviour on occasions and respond to emergency situations.Develop respectful and trusting relationships through the involvement of, and discussion with the child or young person.Consult with children, young people and their carers to make sure that their needs are understood and met in an encouraging and nurturing environment.Act as advocate for the young person as necessaryPlease see the attached job description for full responsibilities.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered with the NMC Experience Essential Evidence of Continuous Professional DevelopmentExperience of working with children and young people Desirable Degree in Mental Health Nursing Additional Criteria Essential Understanding of relevant legislation and policies relating to children and young people ( Children's Act, MentalHealth Act, Safeguarding, NSF, Every Child Matters)Evidence of Continuous Professional DevelopmentUnderstanding of the wide range of evidence based treatment/therapeutic interventions CBT, DBTKnowledge and understanding of mental health disorders in children and young people, and their impact on both the client group and their families/carers
