What we can offer you; Access to our company pension scheme Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to One paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your community Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential What you'll be doing; Safe navigation and manoeuvring of a 35m and 24m barge in Southampton, Portsmouth and category C & D waters of the Solent Safe loading and unloading of bulk liquid and packaged waste in compliance with MARPOL Regulations Ensuring the safe operation of the vessels, their safety equipment and crew in compliance with the MCA and Veolia land based procedures Manage ships husbandry to support the general upkeep of the vessels Producing paperwork for the customers Monitor crews working hours and ability to manage any environmental or health and safety incidents Duty phone and email, 1 week in 4 (Duty Phone fee paid £124 per month, in addition to salary) Safe use of vessel cranes and manual lifting equipment.
(training will be provided) What we're looking for; A minimum of RYA Coastal Skipper practical and theory or Boatmasters licence is essential Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Collision Regulations Experience of being a master, showing an understanding of working at Sea What's next?
