Job title - Design Coordinator/Graduate Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset Contract length: 3 months (the job is until summer 2025, with an opportunity to extend, so potential for extension) Rate: PAYE - Inside IR35 Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for Balfour Beatty, on their prestigious Hinkley Point C project, offering a fantastic opportunity for a Junior / Graduate Civil Engineer to join a dynamic team working on a major marine and tunnelling design and build contract.
The Role: This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable experience on a large-scale, high-profile project.
You will be working alongside experienced professionals and will have the chance to develop your skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.
You will be liaising with various teams, tracing and sharing design changes, and contributing significantly to the success of the Hinkley Point C project.
Responsibilities: Assist the Design Manager in the delivery of detailed design packages supporting the offshore works programme.
Assist with tunnel design, including change control and management of design changes.
Interface with various stakeholders.
Key Skills and experience required: A flexible approach to work and able to adapt to change A team focus with the ability to communicate and build relationships with a wide variety of people at all levels A driven, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative and influence key decisions A full, clean UK driving licence Essential: A 2:1 BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in in Civil or Structural Engineering, or Geotechnical Degree Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to understand and interpret reinforcement drawings Strong organisational skills with experience managing change control processes Excellent communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and contribute within a team Desirable: Experience within an engineering environment.
