Job summary Working hours: shift pattern between the hours of to 17:30The Patient Administration Services Team, based at the Birmingham Children's Hospital, has an opportunity for a full-time Patient Administration Services Team Leader - fixed term or secondment for 9 months.This post will be working a shift pattern in line with existing team leaders and will support Patient Administration Services Team - Health Records, Patient Record Scanning, ED receptionists, Ward Clerks and Outpatient Reception Teams.You will support in co-ordinating the teams on a daily basis and be responsible with existing team leaders in day to day management.
You will primarily be working closely with the Patient Admin Services Operational Manager in supporting team leaders and the department where necessary.
You will work in all areas in addition to actively be involved with the implementation and planning of a new electronic patient record system.
To assist in coordinating the Patient Admin Service across the Trust in conjunction with the other Team Leaders (please see JD for further details).You must be flexible and be adaptable to change and be able to manage the forthcoming changes within the department.

Primarily working closely with the line management team responsible for the out-patient reception teams To assist in coordinating the Patient Admin Service across the Trust in conjunction with the other Team Leaders (please see JD for further details).Be available to support senior colleagues who line manage other areas within PAST - health records, scanning team, ward clerk teams and emergency department reception.

Person Specification Knowledge and experience Essential Previous reasonable NHS experience (working to A&C band 3 or above) NVQ level 4 or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Educated to GCSE English & Mathematics level.
Proven knowledge and experience of working with Patient Records or similar area of work
