Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Neonatal Unit at Basingstoke for a Senior Sister to join our team.
If you are a neonatal nurse who wants to develop leadership and management skills within a supportive and friendly team this fixed term post could be the opportunity you are looking for.
Main duties of the job You will be currently practising as a neonatal nurse, have completed a neonatal intensive care course, teaching and mentorship qualification and have excellent standards of neonatal nursing practice.
We are committed to supporting you in your personal of your role would be responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the unit as the nurse in charge.
You will be facilitating high quality family integrated care within the team.
About us The neonatal unit is designated as a local neonatal unit, we have 14 cots, 2 intensive care, 3 high dependency and 9 special care.
We are an active member of the Thames Valley and Wessex Neonatal Network Job description Job responsibilities The neonatal Senior Sister supports the Clinical Matron and acts as their deputy in the management of care and the care environment, ensuring that babies are safe and receive care of a high standard.The neonatal Senior Sister will report directly to the Clinical matron and will be responsible for ensuring that the neonatal team possess the clinical skills, knowledge and motivation to offer and deliver the highest quality of care to babies and their families.
