Senior Software Engineer Job Role: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the specification, design, implementation, and testing of software related to our client's IoT platform.
You should be skilled in general software engineering and backend development, with experience in unit testing and digital specialties.
You will work successfully and accountably within a scrum team, delivering high-quality solutions.
You need to be a confident and supportive guide and mentor for junior team members and participate as a thoughtful, credible technical advisor in technical discussions.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all products are developed in accordance with the applicable published development process, including coding standards.
Ensure changes are appropriately component and smoke tested before merging to the trunk.
Ensure changes are appropriately integration tested before verification testing.
Help enhance the CI/CD pipeline to make all aspects of product development, deployment, and maintenance fast and efficient.
Test solutions before handing them off to QA teams, enhancing and using automated unit, integration, functional, and performance tests.
Resolve safety hazards and security exceptions in products under development or in use.
Define the software requirements at the component level with adequate input from stakeholders.
Provide input into software design at the system, subsystem, and component levels.
Collaborate with other functions and colleagues as needed to drive the software design at the component and subsystem level.
Key Experiences and Skills: C# Object-oriented software design.
Developing client-server applications.
Bachelor/University Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Previous use of Agile Software Development practices, especially SCRUM, XP, TDD.
A strong interest in test automation and unit test experience.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other developers, QA, and DevOps engineers.
