Job Title: Technical Services Specialist (Avionics) Location: RAF Leeming Salary: £37,548 What you'll be doing: You will be expected to carry out download and analysis of hums data ( health and usage monitor system ) on a daily basis providing input to the design organisation and advising service ability to the fleet Ensure you support the Technical Query process at technical SME, including feedback to Design Organisations and Suppliers.
Ensure any trends are identified and escalated, as appropriate Develop and produce the technical content of work instructions to enable the accomplishment of all maintenance in accordance with the Operator Maintenance Programme You will be conducting the analysis of all applicable airworthiness instructions and ensure their accomplishment within the applicable timescales.
Ensure any issues are identified and escalated appropriately Daily use of Safety Management System – Ensure Human Factors and Error Management philosophies are applied to all Technical Services activities.
Understand the risks associated with Technical Services and the means by which they are mitigated and managed.
Ensure compliance with all other requirements, e.g.
ITAR, EaPW, ISO, etc.
Your skills and experiences: Essential: Has a demonstrable knowledge and experience of the Hawk aircraft Able to build good relationships with Customers, Part 145 Organisation(s), OEMs, Suppliers and other key stakeholders' personnel Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship (including a City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 or equivalent) Desirable: Understands the Regulatory Framework and its applicability to the Technical Services processes and activities Have operational knowledge and understanding of the platform contract(s), the fleet's performance and the business key performance metrics Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
The Technical Services team: The role is part of the Continuing Airworthiness Management Services Team.
The Technical Services Specialist (Avionic) is responsible to the Technical Services Lead for the provision of Part M Technical Services to the Hawk aircraft fleet at RAF Leeming.
