ABOUT THE ROLE As the Chief People Officer (CPO), you will be an integral member of the Leadership Team at Roq, supporting business growth whilst driving a people-first culture and maintaining a focus on employee happiness.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Leadership – Executing your leadership responsibilities with distinction.
LMA - Leading, managing, and holding the People Team accountable.
Employee Happiness - Ensure our Employee Promise remains relevant and work with all areas of the business to fulfil this promise and maintain employee happiness >8.
Recruitment - Attract, recruit and retain great people in line with resourcing requirements and timescales, ensuring they have the required skills and align with the Roq values and culture.
Career Development - Ensure all Roq employees have the opportunity to maximise their full potential at Roq through career support, training and progression.
Run a successful Roq Academy, providing opportunities for people to start a career in Quality Engineering and supporting Roq's future talent pipeline.
Governance - Provide oversight and governance for all People processes, ensuring consistency across the company.
Infrastructure - Ensure an effective and reliable office and technical infrastructure that enables us to deliver excellent services to our clients at an acceptable cost.
AS A MEMBER OF THE LEADERSHIP TEAM, YOU WILL: Drive the execution of the business strategy by inputting ideas and implementing initiatives – directly and / or indirectly related to your function – to meet the business objectives.
Focus on client satisfaction as a key metric, contributing to a score of 90%+.
Focus on employee happiness as a key metrics at Roq, contributing to a score of 80%+.
Understand what we do, the solutions we offer and the impact we have on our clients, and how we can continually evolve and enhance that proposition.
Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements, ensuring Roq is well placed to make the most of emerging opportunities.
Support business development / growth through building and maintaining strong relationships with both existing clients and prospects, where required.
Promote Roq as a leader in Quality Engineering, participating and offering thought leadership in the areas that elevate Roq's brand in the relevant communities.
Demonstrate financial understanding through being actively involved in financial planning and using financial data to guide decision making.
Encourage a culture of innovation, leading by example in exploring new methods, tools and technologies.
Understand risk management to effectively anticipate and mitigate business risks.
Promote ethical and sustainable business practices, both internally and within the projects delivered to clients.
Provide insight and challenge within the Leadership Team, by analysing the data shared and coming prepared to input into each leadership team meeting / planning session.
AS THE CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER OF ROQ, YOU WILL: Provide leadership and vision for the People Team, driving alignment with business strategy and the delivery of the employee promise with a remote-first workforce.
Lead by example in driving employee engagement and work to maintain Roq's status as an employer of choice, with accreditations such as Investors in People.
Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to career development, engagement, and exit, in accordance with the Roq Way.
Develop and implement initiatives that foster outstanding employee engagement and support business growth.
Oversee all people-related matters, mitigating risks, ensuring any issues are resolved fairly and efficiently and every employee has a positive experience.
Work collaboratively with the wider business to forecast future workforce needs and implement strategies for recruitment, talent development, and upskilling, to ensure all client requirements are met in a profitable and timely manner.
Design programs that empower employees, promote work-life balance, and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
Manage internal communications, ensuring transparency and engagement at all levels.
Lead continuous improvement efforts for people processes, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
Lead and manage the People Team, holding them accountable for delivering excellent employee experiences and for being an ambassador for Roq.
Align our people strategies with our business strategy and objectives, while championing diversity, inclusion, and a strong sense of community.
Lead ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) activities, ensuring the company's social responsibility initiatives are effectively implemented.
Demonstrate thought leadership by participating in industry events, defining and implementing new initiatives, and fostering knowledge sharing across the company.
Cultivate a company culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to excel.
