The Role Due to continued successful growth, we have an excellent opportunity to join our Fortem team working permanently with our partners at Town & Country Housing Repairs as a Plasterer in our Responsive Repairs team in East Kent The Plasterer will be responsible for most aspects of property maintenance and repairs to Social Housing Properties covering a patch that stretches across East Kent that stretches from Canterbury, Minster, Deal, Dover, Folkestone, Hythe, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, New Romney and surrounding areas so travel is essential.
Core Hours are Monday-Friday 8.00am-5.00pm As Plasterer you will be ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision.
The Plasterer takes ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs, operating within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters, whilst being Courteous and professional around the tenants The Customer Town & Country Housing Repairs is in a joint venture contract with Fortem Solutions to deliver Repairs and Maintenance, Voids and, recently, Retrofit services to almost 9000 houses.
This contract is long term and has the potential to last for another 25 years, during which time the business plan outlines it has the potential to double in both size and value, leading to growth and development opportunities for both the contract and employees Duties and Responsibilities * Completing works for responsive repairs and maintenance as per the specification, working in a timely and productive manner.
* Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required * Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
* Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices * Affording excellent customer service to client representatives * Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner * Always comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards * Operating within the company's occupational road risk policies and procedures * Using a PDA smart phone to correspond daily with the Repairs Planning team and colleagues to update progress and completion information for your allocated work.
